The Summer School offers an interdisciplinary forum for doctoral students and early-c areer researchers (within three years of completing their PhD) working in M odern Italian History and Italian Studies.\nAfter several very successful e ditions in Italy, the Summer School returns to England, and we warmly welco me proposals on any topic from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century. Themes may include, but are not limited to:\n\n - history of colonialism(s) \n - history of migration(s)\n - anniversaries, public memory and the civic calendar\n - gender and queer studies\n - conflicts, resistances and mobil isations\n - environment, energy policies, climate change and conflict\n - identities, citizenship and belonging(s)Participants will present their pap ers in panel sessions.
